While preparing materials for Pitch Wars, I found a bunch of revision oriented mentor competitions and I'm writing about them, one a week.
Revise and Resub #RevPit is an annual contest held in April that "querying authors can win feedback and edits on their full manuscripts from professional editors, ensuring their works are polished and ready for agent inboxes."
There's no information for 2020 posted yet, but it seems to be a fairly active contest and one to mark on your calendar. They hold a number of mini-events throughout the year, as well.
It looks like last year editors were announced in early March, so I'd start checking in then. You get to submit materials to two editors, and one alternate, once limits are reached (not sure what those are) and there were, it looks like, 15 editors last year. I should qualify, at least 15 editors are listed in the pre-event #AskEditor session calendar.
Compared to PW, this is a mentoring competition that has relatively few mentors, so I'm sure they get a LOT of entries. It looks like the sooner you get your submission package in, probably the better chance you have, if you also meet the editors' criteria for what they're looking for.
Once chosen, pairs work together for five weeks to revise, so if you enter, I would recommend being prepared to drop everything else for those weeks and rewrite your fingers off!
Read the rules and the requirements carefully.
Let me know if you enter and good luck!
