This was a fun time-travel romp through famous people from history, stemming from the question: If you could invite three people from history to dinner -- or lunch -- and the table would fetch them out of time for you, who would you invite?
Javi Santiago invites kid Mozart and the Earl of Sandwich, but he's tricked into inviting Edward Teach. Google him. He Googles himself, and of course learns what happens to him (ultimately), and doesn't want to return to his slice of time. Who would, with that fate awaiting them?
But what Javi and his friends learn is… Teach's not the only one to try and evade the inevitable. Others have been fetched for "dinner" by the time-travelling table that trembles and they didn't return to their slices of times, either.
They became… you guessed it! Some of the toughest teachers at the middle school! That's why they really know their history. ARGH!!!!!
I won't spoil how it ends. Enjoy all the mind-boggling possibilities of a time-travel menu!
There's a book 2 publishing in July, so the library might get it in time for a Sept. review.
