Last weekend my oldest and three other teens, from their Pima County Public Library Teen Advisory Boards, interviewed Unwanteds author Lisa McMann in a sound studio at Arizona Public Media.
This is her second year interviewing an author, and we know it takes a lot to coordinate this across three different organizations (and the authors!).
Special thanks to PCPL librarians Jane Devereaux, for making this opportunity available to members of the Murphy-Wilmot TAB, and Margaret Beem, for organizing it and making it available to members of the Kirk-Bear Canyon TAB. Thank you to AZPM for making the sound studio available (and later the professional-quality recording that the teens will edit), and to TFOB for bringing in Ms. McMann.
I'll post the link after the teens edit the interview and PCPL posts it. McMann had some very interesting things to say about her characters and the world she's created!
