It's like Christmas in June!
For a few years my two teens have volunteered signing up younger kiddos to participate in our library's Summer Reading Program.
This week the library set out the books it's giving away. The readers and picture books are on the tables in the foreground and off in the back are some awesome middle grade and YA offerings. The library does this in EVERY location, not just this one.
Books are purchased by the library and distributed free to every child and teen who signs up to complete the reading challenge. They also get a free child pass to our local zoo and other "incentives" like stickers for completing specific reading challenges.
My kids said they signed up 30 children in just 2 hours of volunteering. If you have children and haven't gotten your free book yet, make sure to stop by soon. They disappear fast!
