Tomorrow I start a series of short, 10-question interviews with successful, independently published middle grade authors. I've requested their books through my public library, read and reviewed them, and heartily recommend them.
The idea for this series was born as I read more and more successfully indie pubbed authors and I wondered what distinguished their books from others? How were they successful in getting their books into my library, when others were not?
For right now, it appears I need to request, as a patron, that the library purchase them. It won't / doesn't purchase indie pubbed authors on its own. That may change in the future, but we'll have to see.
The interviews will run each Friday in October, and I'll schedule more as my library purchases more indie published books and I read and review them.
I hope their answers are informative for fans and aspiring MG authors alike.
