My son enjoyed these two books.
The first is a stand-alone story, and the second is a series, published a while ago.
We discovered them on a recent summer "library-run," where we comb the shelves for interesting covers. My kiddos sometimes pick up books I would never think are their "thing."
Both novels feature magic, are action packed, and take some neat plot twists and turns along the way.
