If you haven't already read this one, to further your craft, it's fantastic. It's written in the same style as Ursula LeGuinn's writing guide, with writing prompts at the end of every chapter. I love the writing prompt about creating new words!
Some Writing Magic Tips:
p. 49 "Intensify your brutality." Toward your MC, that is.
p. 87 Treat all your ideas respectfully, including the dumb ones. That way, the good ones will "see how the stupid ones are treated. When they see me behave respectfully to the dopes, they tiptoe out into the open."
p. 93 "Do not do not DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT bend your story to accommodate your brilliant words."
p. 105 "Writers are often advised to show, not tell. You need to do both."
