We read this one at bedtime storytime recently. I'm an adult, and I caught the fallacy in the MC's logic immediately, but I waited patiently to see if my teens would. Surprisingly, they didn't.
I admire what the author did, building an adventure around a basic tenet of logic. It made for a good read. I won't reveal it here; you'll have to read it for yourself to see if you catch it. Just know the story deals with slavery and a boy's burning desire to have a purpose in life, even if it means reading into something, where nothing actually is.
