This contest was suggested by a critique group partner. It opened for October last week, Oct. 6, to entries. There are multiple month openings, as far as I can tell.
I've never done it, as I find the opening pages to be some of the easiest to write. It also requires a finished manuscript, which I don't have quite yet (still working on rewrites of DL, after beta-reader feedback).
Read the full rules, before submitting. Emphasis is placed on the format of the submission, and they really don't want gmail entries.
