My latest WIP is a rewrite of an earlier book. When deciding to rewrite, I made a conscious decision to focus on plotting. It's the "stuff in the middle" that is the most difficult for me to write, and I used Post-It notes this time, on large sheets of cardboard, to sketch out the progression of events and map how each event is a part of one of four plots in the book. Scrivener does the same thing, but the act of writing helped to connect the two lobes of my brain - creative and logical.
