In general, these are the month-by-month themes I follow when posting reviews. I reserve the right to read and review books outside these themes whenever I choose. Furthermore, I often read books 1-4 months in advance of posting the review. I am reading all genres, by all types of authors, year round. But I find this is a helpful way to schedule and organize my reviews.

January -- General reviews, any genre

February -- Spotlight on Black authors

March -- General reviews, any genre

April -- National Poetry Month, all verse books

May -- General reviews, any genre

June / July -- Summer Reading Sci-fi/Fantasy only (I do not post Teaching or Writing items during these months)

August -- Back-to-School, contemporary, feelings-focused books

September -- Spotlight on Latinx authors

October -- Horror

November -- Spotlight on Native authors

December -- Review-a-Day Holiday Picks, Dec. 1-25 (I do not post Teaching or Writing items)

LGBTQ+, ND, and Asian and Pacific Island authors are featured throughout the year.
